George Cooksey

George "Tom" Cooksey died Saturday, November 22, 2008 in Mountain Home, AR at the age of 71 years, 7 months and 3 days. He was born Monday, April 19, 1937 in Dixon, New Mexico, son of Edmond J. and Romaine Rivera Cooksey. He married Eunice Goding on September 23, 1988 at Flippin, Arkansas. He was a 22-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, retiring as a Sr. Chief Petty Officer and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Tom lived in Flippin for 29 years moving from San Diego, California . Survivors: Tom Cooksey is survived by wife, Eunice Goding Cooksey of Flippin, AR, step-daughter, Jamie (Jeff) Morrow of Flippin, AR, 5 step-grandchildren of Flippin, AR, mother Romaine Cooksey of Albuquerque, New Mexico, sister Eva Mae Bernal of Albuquerque, and brother Henry Cooksey of San Antonio, Texas . Preceded in Death by: His father. Funeral: Memorial Services will be 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Antioch Baptist Church, Flippin, AR, with Pastor Danny Hutcheron officiating. Burial: Burial will be private. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Antioch Baptist Church.
