George Thomas Elieff, 90, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024. Born on June 19, 1934, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the beloved son of Christ and Estelle Whitten Elieff. A proud U.S. Army veteran, George served his country with honor.
In 1960, George married Carol Mayer in Chicago, and together they built a loving family. His career as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service was marked by dedication and service to the community. In 1994, George and Carol moved to Mountain Home from Chicago, where he became an active member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
George had a passion for cooking, baking, and reading, and in his younger years, he cherished the time spent fishing. His zest for life and warmth will be remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Gregory (Violet) Elieff; his daughter, Cheryl (Frank) Musto; granddaughter, Angela (Eric) Garcia; and great-grandson, Daniel. George was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Louise Elieff; his parents, Christ and Estelle Elieff; and his brother, John Elieff.
Visitation for George will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will take place on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be conducted at Montrose Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Arrangements are being handled by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
