George Fox

George E. Fox was born November 16, 1913 in Brainerd, Minnesota, the son of George and Martha Zander Fox. He married Lucile Husmann in Lincoln, Nebraska and worked as a Customer Engineer for IBM. George Fox was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He lived in Mountain Home since 1971 moving from Omaha, Nebraska. He was a member of the Ham Radio Operators. His call numbers were W0AEM. He enjoyed fishing and feeding the wildlife that frequented his property. He also was an avid rock collector. George Fox entered into eternal rest at Mountain Home, Arkansas on March 14, 2009 at the age of 95 years, 3 months and 28 days. Survivors: 1 daughter, Nancy (Kennard)Francis of Omaha, Nebraska, Grandchildren, Eric G. (Shannon) Francis of Omaha, NE and Dawn M. (Robert) Garcia of McAllen, TX, 7 great-grandchildren, Vicki, Brandon, Mitchell, Jaime, Justin, Hailey and Wyatt, brothers, Robert and Arthur and sister, Eleanor. Preceded in Death by: Parents and wife Funeral: Memorial Service at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. Memorials: In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Family For Future Scholarship.
