George died October 2, 2011, at Baxter Regional Medical Center at the age of 57. He was born January 1, 1954, at Willington, Kansas the son of Lon Richard and Louise Fountain Melton. He was a construction worker and a member of the Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church.
George is survived by 3 sisters, Barbara (Bobby) Carson and Linda Smith both of Monkey Run, AR and Vera (Michael) Powers of Clinton, AR and 2 brother, Loren (Pattie) Melton of Salem, NH and Ray (Joyce) Melton of Harrison, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 1 sister.
Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
