George passed away June 6, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 66. He was born September 23, 1948, in Sunflower, Mississippi, the son of George and Mary Ratcliff Thomas. George was a farmer and U.S. Army veteran. George lived in Arkansas since moving from California in the 1970's.
George is survived by his mother, Mary Henson, of Gassville, AR; four sisters, Hazel Thomas of Gassville, AR, Diane (Steve Weese) Thomas of Mountain Home, AR, Anita McKnight of Viola, AR, and Dalma (Bo) Chickelly of Leland, MS; and two daughters, Sue and Tamara of Bakersfield, CA.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Marvin Thomas, Sr., and brother, Jerry Thomas.
Burial will be in the Mill Creek Cemetery, Yellville, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of North Arkansas Hospice Foundation.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
