George A. Waidley was born to Loretta (Wilhelm) and Walter Waidley on May 7, 1928 in Aurora, IL. Aurora was George's home for many year where he attended Holy Angels elementary school, and graduated Marmion Military Academy in 1947. Upon graduation George began is career at Stephan-Adamson which in 1970 was bought out by SealMaster Bearings where George worked his way up to the position of Quality Control Inspector, from which he retired, after 43 years of dedicated service. On March 9, 1953 George was united in marriage to Frances I. Davis, in Louisville, KY. George was an active member in the V.F.W. Aurora Post, Aurora Moose Lodge, Mooseheart, Twin Lakes Gun Club, in Hospice, Friends of Bill W., Senior Community Center, Meals on Wheels and numerous other volunteer positions. He was affiliated with St. Andrews Episcopal Church, of Mountain Home. George loved people, with his quick sense of humor and words of wisdom he attracted many people into his circle of friends. George was an encourager, and a go to guy, he was an observer and a deep thinker, a man with few words at times, but quick as a whip. A man that embraced the mysteries of life and would seek answers, a man with deep family values and commitment, a man with integrity and character and he loved his little buddy. He loved literature, fine arts, a good western movie, the history channel and the classic movie channel, music, and the shooting range when the opportunity was there. He loved potlucks and any opportunities to be social. He was insightful with the messages that he clipped and saved to share with others that he could inspire. One day at a time was his way of life and at times he lived one moment at a time. He was a humble man and believed in the good of people and saw the good that people were willing to give to him. He loved his country and supported the men and women that serve in the military.
