Graveside Services for Georgia LaVerne Jones of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Galacia Cemetery, with Reverand Wayne Harmon officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Monday, September 13, 2010 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel - Bull Shoals. Mrs. Jones died Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Twin Lakes Nursing Center, at the age of 76. Georgia was born July 23, 1934 in Salesville, Arkansas, the daughter of Lon and Dovie Chastain Unger. She was married to Gus Jones. She worked as a Security Guard for Kmart and Wal-Mart. She enjoyed volunteering at Serenity and loved country music and dancing. Georgia is survived by 2 brothers - Lon Jess Unger of Flippin, AR, Ernest (Connie) Unger of Towanda, KS; 3 sons - Dale Lamb, Carl (Butch) Leckenby, Wayne Lamb; 2 sisters - Hazel (Lee) Dowden, Mary (Wayne) Harmon; 15 neices and nephews, including Vickie (Jerry) Adcox, Cindy (John) Mostrom, and Kim Raney. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gus Jones. Burial will be in the Galatia Cemetery. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services of Bull Shoals.
