Gerald Healea

Gerald Healea died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 in Mountain Home at the age of 84. He was born Thursday, February 14, 1924 in Chesterville, Ohio, the son of Paul and Mary James Healea. He married Shirley Fitzwater on June 6, 1948 at Chesterville, Ohio and after moving to Memphis, Tenn, he was the Finishing Foreman for Ivers and Pond Piano Company and then retired from Reliance Universal as a Manufacturer's Rep. Gerald Healea was an Army veteran of WWII. Gerald lived in Norfork since 1982 moving from Memphis, Tennessee. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was an avid fisherman, loved hunting and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was an entrepreneur, started and operated Mid America Wholesale Florist in Memphis and Country Manor Trailer Park. Survivors: Gerald Healea is survived by his wife, Shirley Healea and 2 daughters, Diana (Walter) Ramsey of Russellville, AR and Sherry (Steve) Efird of Malvern, AR, 1 sister, Phyllis Rockwell of Mt. Vernon, OH, 4 grandchildren, Brian and Michael Efird, Jason and Katheryn Ramsey, 3 Great-grandchildren, Preston and Ashton Efird, Reagan Ramsey, and Charlea Kate, to be born on July 2, 2008. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Warren Healea. Funeral: A Graveside Service for Gerald B. Healea of Norfork, AR, will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, June 13, 2008 at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, with Reverend Mike Fikes officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks or charity of choice.
