Gerald Edward Jones

A Celebration of Life for Gerald Edward Jones of Flippin, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday February 27, 2018, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bull Shoals with Celebrant Heather Marsalis officiating.
Gerald passed away suddenly February 20, 2018, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 79. He was born July 27, 1938, in Atlantic, Iowa, the son of Walter and Clara Jones. He married his childhood sweetheart, Marilyn Hansen on September 16, 1961, in Atlantic, Iowa. Gerald was active in the community and served as President of the school board in Walnut, Iowa for several years. He loved the outdoors and was a licensed auctioneer. Gerald started out as a farmer then when he moved to Arkansas became involved in real estate as the owner of Pioneer Realty and a builder of log homes.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Marilyn F. Jones of Flippin, AR; son, Scott (Sherry) Jones of Springfield, MO; daughter, Julienne (Mike) Crews of Flippin, AR and grandchildren, Blake Jones, Shalene Stevens and Kaylee Purdom.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, LaDonna.
Burial will be in the Monroe Cemetery in Walnut, Iowa.
