Geraldine Strauch

Geraldine Marcella Strauch, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on October 8 2024, at the age of 93. Born on May 19, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Leo and Julia Radwanski Baron. On September 27, 1952, Gerrie married Jay Strauch in Chicago, and together they created a loving family. In 1993, Geraldine moved to Mountain Home from Downer's Grove, Illinois, where she continued to share her warmth and passion for life. Throughout her life, Gerrie found joy in creating beautiful dolls, cooking, baking, and sewing. Her kitchen was always filled with delightful treats, including cookies, cakes, and especially pies, which brought great happiness to Jay and their family.

Gerrie is survived by her two sons, Scott (Wanda) Strauch of Rogers, AR, and Craig (Allyson) Strauch of Springfield, IL. She leaves behind three grandchildren, Blake (Diana) Strauch, Heath (Lyndi) Strauch, and Dawson Strauch, as well as a great-granddaughter, Everdean, and two great-grandsons, Lydgar and Knox. She is also survived by her two sisters, Cynthia Grieshop and Letitia Jendras. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jay John Strauch.

A Funeral Service will be held in her honor at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home, followed by entombment at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum in Mountain Home.
