Gerhard Pilz

Gerhard Otto Pilz was born September 3, 1909 in Germany. He owned a Bakery in Chicago before retiring to Bull Shoals in 1973. Gerhard married Lucille A. Weber on April 16, 1943 in Chicago and she preceded him in death in August of 2001. He loved to play the harmonica and keyboard. He enjoyed hiking and the outdoors, to sail and even built his own sailboat. He was an athlete who was a gymnast in his early years and he loved science. Gerhard Otto Pilz died on September 12, 2006 at the Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 97 years and 9 days. Survivors: Niece Madeline Webber of El Dorado Springs, Missouri and a dear friend Bob Moser of Oak Park, Illinois. Preceded in Death by: parents and wife Lucille Funeral: Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 15, 2006 at the Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel in Bull Shoals with Jay Altazan officiating.
