A Funeral Mass for Gertrude Ann Tobin of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am Monday, October 3, 2011, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, with Reverend Stan Swiderski as Celebrant. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm, Sunday, October 2, 2011, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Gertrude died Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at the age of 97. She was born May 26, 1914, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Henry and Anna Lang Iven. She married Frank Tobin on October 11, 1952, at Chicago, Illinois and worked as a secretary and receptionist for a grocery chain. Gertrude lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1989 moving from Chicago, Illinois. She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church and the Polish Club of Mountain Home. She enjoyed swimming and dancing. Trudy is survived by 1 nephew, Donald Tobin of Addison, IL, 3 nieces, Dorothy Tobiaski of Sublette, IL, Joan Marie Buckingham of Wheaton, IL and Dolores Graham of Douglas, GA; good friend, Lena Sanders of Mountain Home and all the employees at Home Instead Senior Care. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Entombment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum with Roger Perreault, George Murphy, Dale Lakin, Larry Jarbeck, Edward Moranz and Bill Frommer as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the Masses at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
