Funeral services for Gilbert F. Shaw, 83, of Mountain Home, Arkansas will be private. Mr. Gilbert Shaw died Thursday, December 9, 2010, at Baxter Regional Medical Center at the age of 83.
He was born September 3, 1927 at Elkhart, Indiana the son of Harry and Thelma Conklin Shaw. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and U.S. Marine veteran of Korea. He was in the furniture moving business and a member of the V.F.W. in Mountain Home and the American Legion in California. Gilbert lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 2002 moving from Los Angeles, California.
Albert is survived by 2 sons, Albert Shaw of Gamaliel, AR and Patrick Shaw of Sierra Madre, CA, and a daughter, Lisa Pankratz of Las Vegas, NV, 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 1 sister, Anna Lee Graves of Elkhart, IN, and long-time friend Jerry Schmiedeberg of Bridgeport, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Jim and Dick and 1 sister, Shirley.
