Glenn Roberts

Glenn Roberts was born July 10, 1915 in Willow Springs, Missouri. He was the son of Larkin and Martha Sweicker Roberts. He married Ruth Lorene Jones on August 23, 1935 in Crown Point, Indiana. He was a boiler operator for forty years with Common Wealth Edison in Chicago, Illinois. He lived in Crown Point, Indiana prior to moving to Oakland, Arkansas in 1975. He was a member of the Protestant faith. Glenn D. Roberts passed away on April 21, 2005, at the age of 89 years, 9 months and 11 days. Survivors: Two sons, James (Karla) Roberts of Lakeview, Arkansas and Kenneth (Marilee) Roberts of Corpus Christi, Texas; one daughter, Carlleen (Wesley) Pierson of Oakland, Arkansas; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; and two sisters, Mabel Ogle of Springfield, Missouri and Leola Ferne Harrison of Lubbock, Texas Preceded in Death by: Parents, wife, five brothers and two sisters Visitation: 12:00-2:00 P.M. at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Funeral: 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 25, 2005 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jim Greenslade officiating Burial: Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery Memorials: Oakland Fire Department Active Bearers: David Pierson, Randy Pierson, Bryan Pierson, Greg Pierce and Charlie Pierce
