Gloria Anne Taylor Shaw of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away June 12, 2022, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 77. She was born March 22, 1945, in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Carl and Vedetta Mephan Nichols. She was slated to go to Juliard School of Music, but life had other plans. She was employed by the Lansing State Journal for 25 years and was the founder of "Friends for Felines, Inc." She married Michael Shaw on December 17, 2009, in Charlotte, Michigan. Gloria lived in Mountain Home since moving from Michigan, in 2021. She spent much of her adult life rescuing and re-homing cats. She loved playing the piano.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Michael Shaw of Mountain Home, AR; two sons, Paul (Norma) Toaz, and Mark (Angie) Toaz; daughter, Dawn (Marty) Herman; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Carl (Linda) Nichols; special childhood friend, Barb Sisco; Michal's four children and their children; and many other wonderful friends and her sweet felines.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services for Gloria will be held in Lansing, Michigan.
Memorials may be made to Friends of Ingham County Animal Control or the MS Research Society.
