Gloria was born Friday, April 2, 1926 in San Diego, California, the daughter of Chrisanto and Aurora Scobell Celaya. She married Robert M. Taylor on September 4, 1948 at San Diego, California and worked as a School Teacher for LaPuente High School for 14 years. Gloria lived in Norfork since June 2, 1988 moving from Pomona, California. She was a member of Baxter County Republican Committee and the Twin Lakes Republican Women. Gloria Taylor died Friday, January 9, 2009 in Mountain Home. She was 82. Survivors: Gloria is survived by her husband, Robert M. Taylor, 2 daughters; Laura C. McAtee of Diamond Bar, Ca. and Maria A. Goytia of Pomona, Ca., 7 grandchildren; Russell Taylor and Robyn Snyder of Mountain Home, Calli McAtee of the U.S. Navy, Kati, and Travis McAtee of Diamond Bar, Ca., Leana and Jeffery Goytia of Pomona, Ca. and 2 great grandchildren; Erica and Austin Snyder of Mountain Home, 2 brothers; Otto Celaya of Whittier Ca and Hugo Celaya of Palm Desert, Ca. and one sister Alba Moore of Lakewood, Ca. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her Parents and one son Howard Taylor. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday at Kirby and Family Funeral Home. Funeral: Funeral Service for Gloria G. Taylor of Norfork, Ar, will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Galatia Assembly of God Church, with Rev. Jerry Smith and Reverend Larry Thomas officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Galatia Cemetery. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. Honorary Bearers: Russell Taylor and Hugo Celaya. Active Bearers: David Davis, Eric Faulkner, Calli McAtee, Robert Southard, Roscoe Cheek, Junior Lewis and Joey Cheek.
