Grayston J. Anderson of Bull Shoals, AR passed away Wednesday March 31, 2010 at Twin Lakes Nursing Center in Flippin, AR after a short illness. He was 87 years old.
Services will be private.
Grayston was born at Sparta, MO to Charlie H. and Beatrice Johnson Anderson. He married Marilyn Jane Eakins on October 2, 1946. Grayston was a WWII Veteran of the United States Navy. He worked as a over the road trucker and plumber before retiring to Arkansas from Cabool, MO in the late 1980s to be near family and fishing. Grayston loved to stay home and work in his garden.
Grayston is survived by his wife, Jane of Bull Shoals, AR,; two daughters, Vicki Monte(Steve) of Bull Shoals, AR and Amy Johnson of Anna, IL; one sister, Laura Ineze Hughes of Springfield, MO.; four grandchildren, Stephen Monte(Elizabeth) of Flippin, AR, Victoria Monte Disalvo(Tim) of Memphis, TN, Gail Rachels Weakley(Johnny) of Memphis, TN, and Abby Jane Johnson, of Bloomington, IL; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.
Memorials may be made to Twin Lakes Nursing Center, 6152 Hwy. 202 E., Flippin, AR 72634.
