A Memorial Service for Gretchen S. Pedersen of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Monday, October 28, 2013, at Good Samaritan Society Chapel, with Reverend David Gadbaw officiating.
Gretchen passed away October 24, 2013, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 97. She was born February 11, 1916, in Milbank, South Dakota, the daughter of Reindhold and Emma Wagner Sandt. She married Alfred Pedersen on June 16, 1945, at Chicago, Illinois and worked as an assembly line worker for Western Electric. Gretchen lived in Mountain Home since 1975, moving from River Grover, Illinois and was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Gretchen is survived by her friend and caretaker, Vesta Rosenkotter of Mountain Home, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Elizabeth Kind and brother, Kurt Sandt.
Inurnment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, AR.
Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
