A Memorial Service for Gwendolyn Ellouise Lorentz,92, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 AM Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church in Mountain Home, with Reverend Nancy Taylor officiating.
Gwen Lorentz died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Mountain Home. She was born March 18, 1918 in Mexico, MO, the daughter of Arthur and Bertha Welch Maddy. She married William Lorentz on October 30, 1949 at Los Angeles, California and was co-owner and operator of Lorentz Paint Store in Mountain Home. Gwen lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1974 moving from Kansas City, Missouri. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge #75, Elks Ladies, Hospital Auxiliary and the Presbyterian Women.
Gwen is survived by one son, Peter (Charlotte) Lorentz of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; daughter-in-law, Jean Lorentz of Columbus, GA; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchilden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sons, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
