Harold Charles Alford

Harold Charles Alford, 95, of Promise Land, Arkansas, passed away October 21, 2022. He was born December 9, 1926, in Waukegan, Illinois, the son of Fred and Lillie Nelson Alford. He married Eda Grace Haines on June 25, 1949, in Waukegan, IL and worked as an electrical engineer finishing his career at Caterpillar after 23 years including 22 months in Kobe, Japan. Harold was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He graduated from the Milwaukee School of Engineering in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was a member Promise Land Bible Church and served as the treasurer for the Oakland/Promise Land Volunteer Fire Department for ten years. Harold enjoyed tinkering, photography, and helping people with the electrical needs as well as studying his Bible.

Harold is survived by his wife, Eda Grace Alford; son, Kurt C Alford, daughters, Paula M Cates, daughter and Diana S. Blough; ten grandchildren; 18 eighteen great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Alan L. Alford and Michael F. Alford; and brother, Richard Alford.

A Memorial Service will be held at Promise Land Bible Church on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Michael Brinkmeier officiating. Burial will follow at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Military Honors provided by Alley-White American Legion Post #52 and the United States Navy Honor Guard.
