A Funeral Service for Harold "Hal" Hubbard of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Vince Daniel. Visitation will be Sunday, March 29, 2015, 11:00 am, until time of service in the chapel.
Hal passed away March 20, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 81. He was born February 9, 1934, in Mt. Moriah, Missouri, the son of Glenn and Gwendolyn Downey Hubbard. Hal married Alice Repensek on December 24, 1954, at Milwaukee, Wisconsin and worked as a supervisor for Sorgel Electric for 38 years. Hal was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He lived in Mountain Home since 1993, moving from Franklin, Wisconsin. He was a member of the Natural State Rod & Custom Car Club and the Midway Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. Hal enjoyed golfing, fishing, football, auto racing, and loved his cat, Taffy. Hal insisted that anyone attending his funeral dress casual, in jeans and the family wishes to honor this.
Hal is survived by his two sons and four daughters, Roxanne (John) Sluga of Fountain City, WI, Kerri (Rick) Schubert of Oak Creek, WI, Bryan (Jesica) Hubbard of West Allis, WI, Laura Stewart of South Milwaukee, WI, Bruce (Wendy) Hubbard of Oak Creek, WI and Jenni Hubbard of Oak Creek, WI; sister, Donna Barnes of Leawood, KS; 11 grandchildren, Krystal, Jessica, Holly, Robert, Ron, John, Stephen, Casey, Deklan, Jamie and Paul and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alice Repensek; daughter, Debra Hubbard; grandson, Bruce Joncas and brother, Robert Hubbard.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas.
