A visitation for Harold "Peanie" Kopp, Jr. of Flippin, Arkansas, will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Harold passed away October 13, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 88. He was born August 9, 1924, in Perrysburg, Ohio, the son of Harold and Florence Higgins Kopp. He married Marie Eckel on March 30, 1950, at Perrysburg, Ohio, and was a press operator for Peter Stamping. Harold was a U.S. Army peacetime veteran. Harold lived in Flippin, Arkansas since 1998, moving from Holland, Ohio. He was the high school varsity quarterback and enjoyed playing basketball and was in the Glee Club. He was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and loved fishing on the White River. Harold loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Harold went to the Marion County Senior Center in Flippin every day. Harold is survived by his daughter, Kriss and husband Robert Yunker of Flippin, AR; five grandchildren, Kenneth Kopp of OH, Jason Kopp of Perrysburg, OH, Matthew Wood of Flippin, AR, Mellissa Wood of Fayetteville, AR, and Wesley (Catie Ethridge) Wood of Houston, TX; and two great-grandchildren, Avrey and Isaiah Wood of Mountain Home, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Kenneth Kopp, and brother Paul Kopp. Burial will be in the Fort Meigs Cemetery, Perrysburg, Ohio.
