He married Margaret Botts on September 12, 1952, at Chicago, IL and worked as a equipment operator for the Wisconsin Steel Mills . Harry lived in Gassville, Arkansas since 1973 moving from Chicago. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Harry is survived by his wife Margaret, 3 daughters; Barbara Jean (Melvin) Horton of Flippin, AR, Patricia ( Paul) Horton of Yellville, AR and Margaret Cynthia (Ray) Heston of Cleburne, TX, 1 son, William Glenn (Sylvia) Dobies of Mountain Home, AR; 7 grandchildren; Jamie Horton, Kelly Metcalf, Amber Dobies, Dustin Horton, Brandi Stewart, Amanda Horton, and Christy Hailey 4 great grandchildren; Emily Caldwell, Isaac & Jacquelyn Stewart and Carter Metcalf, two sisters; Laura Funkenberger of Monticello, IN and Virginia Spadoni of Harvey,IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and one sister.
