Funeral Services for Harry Marlyn Hopper of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 AM Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Randy Ludwig officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.
He died Thursday, December 23, 2010 at his residence at the age of 84. Harry was born August 12, 1926 in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Hugh Marlyn and Ella Jaenicke Hopper. He married Joan Sopoci on April 26, 1975 at Chicago, Illinois. He owned and operated Imperial Jewelers, Inc in Niles, IL prior to moving to Mountain Home in 1991. Harry Hopper was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II.
Harry is survived by his wife Joan L. Hopper of Mountain Home, one daughter - Victoria (Edward) Schalz of Cary, IL; 2 Grandchildren - Kimberly Schalz, Jessica Schalz; special friends - Jan, Violet & John Alm, Harold Pillar, Uncle of Christine (Gary) Pappin, Clifford (Ann) Hopper, Sean Pappin, Dawn Hopper, Heather Hopper, Joseph Hopper; Godson; Jason Alm; cousin; Leota Spalla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Wardell, sister, Loraine.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks.
