Hazel Ballard

Hazel Floy Ballard was born February 17, 1909, at Pottersville, Missouri, to Joab and Lola Crider Dent. She married Connor Caldwell Ballard on March 12, 1940, at West Plains, Missouri. She was a homemaker who lived in Mountain Home since moving from Seabright, New Jersey, in 1975. Hazel loved reading the Bible and Bible studies. She also enjoyed genealogy. She was a member of the College and North Street Church of Christ in Mountain Home. Mrs. Ballard died Thursday, August 31, 2006, at Care Manor Nursing Home. She was 97. Survivors: She is survived by her sister-in-law, Fayetta Hall of Calico Rock, Arkansas; niece Melody Killibrew of Everton, Arkansas; nephews Pat Ballard, Mike Ballard and Chuck Ballard; very close friends Ralph and Mary Silzell; and a host of other friends. Preceded in Death by: parents, husband Funeral: Graveside services for Hazel Floy Ballard of Mountain Home will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2006, at Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, Arkansas, with Reverend Wayne Wood officiating.
