Helen Dolores Byrd was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on June 24, 1913. She was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Molnar Egyed. She married the late Eugene C. Byrd in Crown Point, Indiana on February 27, 1935. Mrs. Byrd was employed as a post master secretery with the post office for twenty-five years. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Lady Shriner, Abby Chapter, Phi Omega and Golden Ages. Mrs. Byrd was a member of the Southside Christian Church. She moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas from Hammond, Indiana in 2004. Helen Dolores Byrd passed away at her residence on April 26, 2005, at the age of 91 years, 10 months and 2 days. Survivors: Daughters Roberta Gasparini of Hammond, Indiana and Shirley Carter of Mountain Home, Arkansas; sister, Elizabeth Donakowski; eight grandchildren, Rick L. Novak, Eugene (Pam) Byrd, Chris Byrd, Eric Byrd, Greg Gasparini, Rex Gasparini of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and James and Timothy Carter; thirteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews Preceded in Death by: Parents; husband; son, Richard E.
