Mrs. Gordon died Wednesday, August 1, 2007, at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House at the age of 84. She was born November 8, 1922 at Wilson, Arkansas to Charles and Mattie Sanders Mullins. She married James Gordon on June 9, 1951 at West Memphis, Arkansas. As a young mother of six she worked very hard as a waitress in West Memphis, AR and Memphis, TN. Mrs. Gordon lived most of her life in Arkansas, moving to Mountain Home in 1983. After moving to Mountain Home, she worked several years at Bouquet Palace and The Daisy Shop as a floral designer. She enjoyed playing bingo, making afghans for her children and grandchildren, and gardening. Mrs. Gordon was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors: She is survived by two sons - Milt (Ruby) Morris of Tampa, Florida and Elton (Mary) Kirby, Mountain Home, Arkansas, four daughters - Anita (Larry) Stacy, Amory, Mississippi, Milla Gay Walker, S. Padre Island, Texas, Lola Jean (Robert) Steele, Amory, Mississippi, Joyce A. Gordon, Rogers, Arkansas, ten grandchildren - Mitzi, Keith, Jason, Lisa, Junior, Andy, Shannon, Michael, Mark, and Nathan, nineteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, four sisters, and one grandson - Tony Wilson.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 Saturday, August 4, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral: Funeral services for Helen Jean Gordon of Mountain Home, Arkansas will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 5, 2007 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial: Burial will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House or Hospice of the Ozarks.
