Funeral services and burial for Helen Phyllis Kuper, 90, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 AM, Monday, April 9, 2012 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tom Bayse officiating. Visitation will be from until 9:00 AM until service time. Phyllis passed away April 4, 2012, in Mountain Home. She was born July 21, 1921, in Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of Bert and Blanche Jipson Hanson. She married Merlin Kuper on January 28, 1940, at Oelwein, Iowa and worked as a bookkeeper for Butler Coal Company. Phyllis lived in Mountain Home since 1963, moving from Oelwein. She was a member of Twin Lakes Baptist Church, Eastern Star, Iowa Club, Bull Shoals VFW Auxillary, Rebekahs, Senior Saints at the Twin Lakes Baptist Church, Daughters of the Revolution and was instrumental in the formation and naming the Mid Lakes Home Extention Club. Phyllis is survived by her dear friends, Leon and Tommye Reubin of Lakeview, 2 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one brother Howard (Donna) Kuper of Mesa AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; one son, Gerald Ray Kuper; one granddaughter, Connie Rae Kuper; one brother, Bertie Ray Hanson and one sister, Lucille Christine Hanson. Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery with Art Wallace, Dale Tolander, Leon Reubin, Lindley Reubin, Jerry Jacobs and Bill Camlic as pallbearers.
