Helmut Blum

Helmut Otto Blum of Gassville, Arkansas, passed away October 15, 2024, in Gassville, Arkansas at the age of 78. He was born April 7, 1946, in Gassville, Arkansas, the son of Otto and Anna Kramer Blum. Helmut was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He married Marie Lovatt on August 29, 1973, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, and was a structural iron worker. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing.

Helmut is survived by his wife, Marie Blum of Gassville, AR; step-son, Chris Knapp of Newberg, OR; son, Helmut "Butch" Blum, Jr. of Gassville, AR; daughter, Dana (Jourdan) Swanhart of Colorado Springs, CO; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Anna Schramm.
