A Memorial Service for Henry Walter ?Sonny? Aufdem-Brinke, 85, of Cotter, AR will be held at 2PM Thursday December 1, 2011, at the United Methodist Church of Yellville, Arkansas with Reverend Donny Hudson officiating. Sonny died November 28, 2011, in Mountain Home, AR. Sonny was born September 7, 1926 in Washington D.C. to Henry Lucien and Lillian Hodkinson Aufdem-Brinke. He married Jean Moreland July 3, 1946, in Washington D.C. Sonny was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Yellville, the Lions Club of Silver Spring, MD, the NRA and a life time member of the Isaac Walton League. Sonny was an accomplished stock car racer and a National Champion Speed Boat racer. Sonny will be remembered as a loving husband and a caring father. Sonny is survived by his wife Jean of Cotter, AR; three sons, Richard of St. Augustine, Florida, Ronald and wife Janie of Austin, TX, and Randall of Yellville, AR; five grandchildren, Tammy Brolin of PA, Daniel and Jason of MD, Richard II of MD, and Carly Aufdem-Brinke of TX; 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Hospice House of the Ozarks. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services of Bull Shoals, AR.
