A Funeral Service for Henry Alfred Mallory of Spring, Texas, formally of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Kirby and Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Kenny Sexton officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, December 13, 2014, from 9:00 am until service time, at Kirby and Family Funeral Home. Masonic Rites will be provided by the Mountain Home Masonic Lodge #225 F&M.
Henry passed away December 4, 2014, in The Woodlands, Texas, at the age of 92. He was born May 10,1922, in Howard County, Missouri, the son of James and Annie Mae Gray Mallory. He married Dora Ermine (Erma) Holland on December 19, 1948, at Booneville, Missouri, and retired from the United States Army after 20 years, as a Master Sergeant. Henry lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas, since moving from Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1987. He moved to Spring, Texas, in 2009, after the death of his wife, to be closer to his daughter and her family. He was a member of the East Side Baptist Church and the Mountain Home Masonic Lodge #225 F&M. He enjoyed teaching his grandchildren how to fish and hunt. He was an avid gardener. He also loved spending time with his family traveling to new places and sharing those memories with his grandchildren.
Henry is survived by his daughter, Denise (Greg) Bell of Spring, TX; three grandchildren, Christopher (Sharon) Bell of Tomball, TX, Cameron Bell of Spring, TX, and Mallory (Matthew) Yartym of The Woodlands, TX: four great-grandchildren, Paige and Presley Yartym and Reagan and Charles Bell; and sister, Patricia Brown of New Franklin Missouri; and sister in law Helen Manning of Clinton Iowa; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and three brothers and two sisters.
Entombment will be at Baxter Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Military Honors will be provided by the Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246 Honor Guard and the United States Army Honor Guard.
