Herbert Janke, age 88, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away February 12, 2011. Herbert was born May 30, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of William and Wanda Jedan Janke. He married LaVerne Morlock on June 5, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio. After 4 years of service in World War II as a First Lieutenant in the United States Air Corp, he was employed for 17 years as manager of Reliable Electric Co., Cleveland, Ohio. After it?s closing, he took employment with General Electric Co. and Sasco Electric of California. Herbert was a gifted violinist and enjoyed fishing and landscaping. He lived in Mountain Home 15 years. He is survived by his spouse, LaVerne Morlock Janke; 2 sons, Douglas (Katie) Janke and Colin Janke both of Cleveland, OH; granddaughter, Christine Janke; sister-in-law, Joanne Janke; 5 nieces and 2 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, William Janke and sister, Hildegard Lau. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Cleveland, OH.
