Herbert Johnston

Herbert E. Johnston was born on April 6, 1937 at Maple, Oregon to Elmer Marvin and Minnie Lillian Shier Johnston. He married Mildred Johnson on March 31, 1964 at Reno, Nevada. He was a Senior Technician for a Telephone company. He moved to Mountain Home in 2001 from Gaylord, Michigan. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and enjoyed computers, fishing, gardening and practical jokes. He passed away on February 28, 2004 at the Baxter Regional Medical Center at the age of 66 years, 10 months, and 12 days. Survivors: His wife Mildred Johnston of Mountain HomeSix sons: Greg and wife Shirley Johnston of Vestaburg, Michigan, Jason and Clinton Johnston of Westmoreland, Tennessee, Mark and wife Billy Jo Johnston of Maricopa, Arizona, and Cameron and Michael Johnston of Mountain Home.2 Daughters: Rachelle and husband Bill Stiffler of Jacksonville, Fl. and Melissa and husband Tracy Ayers of East Jordan Michigan. 8 grandchildren and One sister Alice Thomassen of Gig Harbor, Washington Preceded in Death by: Parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters Visitation: 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at the Funeral Home. Funeral: 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at the Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel.
