A Celebration of Life for Howard Henry Lohman of Diamond City, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, September 23, 2012, at United Methodist Church, with Pastor Pat Bodenheimer officiating. Howard passed away in the presence of his loved ones on September 4, 2012, at his residence in Diamond City, Arkansas at the age of 69. He was born November 7, 1942, in Red Wing, Minnesota, the son of Vernie and Mildred Schumacher Lohman. He married Mary Lou Schultz on March 13, 1964, at Kodiak, Alaska and worked as a Supervisor of Water and Sewer for Diamond City and owned and operated the Sleepy Cove Restaurant. Howard was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War serving from 1960-1967. During his service he was involved in the Cuban Crisis and the Atomic Bomb Testing in the 1960's. Howard lived in Diamond City, Arkansas since 1993 moving from Zumbrota, Minnesota. He enjoyed fishing and golfing. Howard is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Lohman; son, Michael (Elizabeth) Lohman of Springdale, AR; daughter, Becky Lohman of Diamond City, AR; grandchild, Jeron Tull and nieces and nephews, Bruce (Rene) Lohman, Brian Lohman, Linda (Chris) Kinski all of Plum City, WI and Brad (Kari) Lohman of Seattle, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Selma Lohman and brother, Daniel Lohman. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church in Diamond City. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
