Huie L. Throckmorton was born September 19, 1926 at Whitt, Texas to U.V. and Artie Ramey Throckmorton. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran. He married Mona Organ October 27, 1951 at Perryton and worked as a building contractor. He was also the co-owner with his wife of the Keye Motel in Perryton for 27 years. Huie was a member and Past Master of the Ochiltree Masonic Lodge # 910 and a member of the Khiva Shrine Temple in Amarillo. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Mountain Home.Huie Throckmorton passed away on Friday, February 2, 2007 after a long illness at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 16 days. Survivors: Huie Throckmorton is survived by his wife; Mona Throckmorton of Mountain Home, Arkansas, One Daughter; Brenda (Tony) Honaker of Orange Grove, Texas, Two grandchildren; Brandi and Tyler Honaker and One Brother; Chuck (Betty) Throckmorton of San Marcos, Texas. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents, one son; David Brent Throckmorton one Brother Roy Throckmorton. Funeral: A Memorial Service for Huie L. Throckmorton of Mountain Home, formerly of Perryton will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 12, 2007 at the First Christian Church in Mountain Home with Reverend Lee Nirschl officiating. The Mountain Home Masonic Lodge #225 will provide Masonic services. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church Youth Fund.
