A memorial service will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Danny Ponder officiating. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois. Irene S. Anderson Barnes, 92, was born June 4, 1920, the sixth child to John and Anna Simo at Chicago, Illinois. She was married to Edward A. Anderson, Sr. for 35 years, widowed for nine years, and married A.J. Barnes in 1985. She worked as an accountant for the Yachtman Enterprises for twenty years in Glenview, Illinois before retiring to Mountain Home in 1972. She served many years as a volunteer pink lady for the hospital auxiliary. She was a avid bridge player and organized the Mountain Home Mini-Marathon in 1980. She was the last surviving charter member. She is survived by one son, Jim Anderson, daughter in law, Elaine (Pete) Schwenker, grandchildren, Erika (Dan) Andrews, Kelsey Schwenker and Sari Anderson; great-grandchildren, Carter and Riley Andrews and Kaitlyn McMinn; "chosen" children, (they know who they are) and many special friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Edward A. Anderson, Sr., first born son, Edward A. Anderson, Jr., her late husband, A.J. Barnes, brother, John V.
