Irene Childress was born Friday, October 23, 1925 in Chicago, IL, daughter of William Stevenson and Irene Lavin. She worked as a Line Worker for a circuit board manufacturer. Irene lived in Mountain Home for 20 years moving from Aurora, Illinois. She enjoyed roller skating and flower gardening. Survivors: 3 daughters, Linda Jordan of Mountain Home, AR, Marie (Dennis) Gruber of Mountain Home, AR, Barbara (James) Simon of Hernando, FL, 1 son, Edward Childress of Mountain Home, AR, 9 grandchildren; Randy, Tisha, Christopher, Dennis, Roxanne, Jimmy, Mark, Jason and Nichole, 9 Great-grandchildren, 1 sister, Virginia Erber of Woodridge, IL. Preceded in Death by: her parents, husband and 1 granddaughter. Funeral: Funeral services for Irene F. Childress of Mountain Home, AR, will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 13, 2008 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Deacon Richard Linstad officiating.
