Irene Strain was born July 16, 1927 in Bertha Hill, West Virginia. She was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Toth Orost. She married Fred H. Strain on April 28, 1947 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Mrs. Strain was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ. Irene strain passed away at Auburn Hills Rehab in Mountain Home on March 18, 2005, at the age of 77 years, 8 months and 2 days. Survivors: Husband of fifty-eight years, Fred Strain, of Clarkridge, Arkansas; two sons, Fred (Jeannie) Strain of Gainesville, Missouri and Ronald (Joyce) Strain of Clarkridge, Arkansas; two daughters, Connie (Gene) Thompson of Clarkridge, Arkansas and Coleen (Tony) Miller of Mountain Home, Arkansas; two brothers, Joe Orost of Johnson, Vermont and Elmer Orost of Brick, New Jersey; one sister, Madeline Turoczi of Oakmont, Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by: Parents, and sister, Elsie Yancik Visitation: 12:30 until service time, Monday, March 21 Funeral: Monday, March 21, 2005; 2:00 p.m. at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel.
