A funeral service for Iva Lucretia Jones, 107, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the Kirby and Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Manuel Macks officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
She died Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Mountain Home. Iva was born November 18, 1903 in Waco, NE, the daughter of Will and Mable Johnson Grass. She married Charlie Jones on August 17, 1923 at York, NE. Iva lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1949 moving from Independence, Iowa. She was a member of Extension Homemakers Club and the Church Pianist.
Iva is survived by her dear friend; Lanelle Lewis Long of Gainesville, MO; 3 grandsons; Dennis (Barbara) Watters of Elm Grove, LA , Charles (Pam) Watters, & Joseph (Pauline) Watters both of Springfield, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter; Bonnie Jeanne Watters, 4 sisters; Bessie, Bertha, Lula & Eileen.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House or the Show-Me Christian Home, P.O. Box 6, LaMonte, MO 65337.
