Ivan Welch

Ivan Francis "Curly" Welch was born May 10, 1910, in Knox County, Illinois. He was the son of John and Lillie Merriot Welch. He served with the United Staters Army during World War II as a Tech Sergeant. He worked as an OMC-Flywheel Balancer with Gale Products, twenty-four years. He moved to Gamaliel, Arkansas from Galesburg, Illinois in 1975. Ivan "Curly" Welch passed away at Hospice House, March 21, 2006, at the age of 95 years, 10 months and 11 days. Survivors: Special friends, Roger and Cheryl Long of Gamaliel, Arkansas; and fourteen grandchildren, including Dawn and Eve Misura Preceded in Death by: His parents, wife and one sister Funeral: Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel; 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 24, 2006, with military honors provided by the VFW Honor Guard.
