Jack Abner Crawford was born August 6, 1918 in Joiner, Arkansas. He was the son of Luther and Mae Etta Layton Crawford. He married Iona M. Artist on June 18, 1942 in San Francisco, California. He was a civil service office machinery technician and a United States Army veteran of World War II. He lived in Pocahontas, Arkansas prior to moving to Bull Shoals, Arkansas in 1983. Mr. Crawford was of the Methodist faith. Jack Abner Crawford passed away at Baxter Regional Medical Center on May 22, 2005, at the age of 86 years, 9 months and 6 days.
