Jack Dempsey Davis of Flippin, Arkansas, passed away March 2, 2023, in Flippin, Arkansas at the age of 84. He was born December 17, 1938, in El Dorado, Arkansas, the son of Doyle and Ophelia Welch Davis. Jack was a U.S. Navy veteran. He married Beverly Butler on September 28, 1980, in El Dorado, Arkansas and was a truck driver. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass and country music, and playing the harmonica.
Jack is survived by his wife, Beverly Davis of Flippin, AR; four daughters, Jacqueline (Larry) Washam of Lillie, LA, Elizabeth (Mark) Templeton of El Dorado, AR, Karon Powell of Gassville, AR, and Sharon (Gerald) Hopkins of Flippin, AR; two step-sons, Richard White of El Dorado, AR, and Rex White of Bryant, AR; sister, Donna Dickson of Newberry, SC; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and 3 step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ricky Davis, Sr.; son-in-law, Justin Powell.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 8, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. A Memorial Service for Jack will be 10:00 am, Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the Lighthouse Assembly of God in Flippin, Arkansas, with Timothy Bryant officiating.
Memorials may be made to a local animal shelter.
