Jack Berry McCoy, 75 of Lakeview, Arkansas was called home to be with the Lord on January 13, 2004. Jack Berry McCoy was born on July 28, 1928 in Des Moines, Iowa to Gilbert and Mable Berry McCoy. He married Kathleen Zimmerman on February 11, 1950 at Knoxville, Iowa. Jack McCoy moved to Lakeview in June of 1994 after retiring as a pressman with Meredith/Burda Corp. for 43 years. He served 2 years in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. Jack McCoy was an active member of East Side Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, loved evangelism outreach and was active in the remodeling of the Mountain Home Christian Clinic. Survivors: Jack McCoy is survived by his wife, Katie; daughters, Sheila Tounsley of Des Moines, Denise (Stephen) Wirick of Tillamook, OR and son, Gary (Leanne) McCoy of Elgin, Ill., Kelly (Randy) Hayes, Niece and Kevin (Patty) Zimmerman, Nephew whom he raised, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 sisters - Marjorie Anderson of Omaha, Ne., Dixie (Dan) Thompson of Ocoee, Fl., and a brother, Robert (Nancy) McCoy of Harrison and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation: Visitation will be Wednesday, January 14, 2004 from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home. Funeral: Funeral Services will be in Des Moines on Saturday, January 17, 11:00 a.m. at the Park Avenue Christian Church with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Burial: Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Des Moines. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Home Christian Clinic and Hospice of the Ozarks.
