Jacob J. Magley died April 14, 2008 at Auburn Hills Nursing Center. He was 67 years old. Jacob was born June 18, 1940 at Bangor, Michigan to William and Seattle Rose Magley. He married Marilyn Nyp on September 1, 1964 at Kalkaska, Michigan. Jacob was a driver for the County of LaGrange for almost 20 years retiring in 2002. He was also a professional roofer. Jacob lived in Bull Shoals for four years after moving here from Lake City, Michigan. Jacob was an all around outdoorsman. He expeciallly loved hunting and camping with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, wonderful father and grandfather and a teriffic brother. Survivors: Jacob is survived by his wife Marilyn Magley of the home, one son, Jacob Jesse Maglely of Fort Wayne, Indiana, one daughter, Marcy Cockerill of Bull Shoals; five grandchildren; Tony and Chelsey Lower, Jessica and Justin Miller and Styles Cockerill; three brothers, James Magley (Bertha) of Kingsley, Michigan, Avery "Earl" Magley (Sally) of LaGrange, Indiana and Randy Magley of Five Lakes, Michigan, one sister, Florence Hill of Decatur, Indiana and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents;, one daughter, Sherry Lower, one granddaughter, Casie Lynn Grubb and five brothers, Bill, Dick, Carl, John and Truman. Funeral: A graveside funeral service for Jacob Jesse Magley will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange, Indiana on Friday, April 18, 2008 with the Reverend Brian Vanosdol officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange, Indiana. Active Bearers: Greg Lower, David Tropp, Jeff Brill, Randy VanWagner, Chuck Hopper and Howard Laflin will serve as pallbearers.
