Memorial Services for James Ray Adams of Midway, Arkansas, will be private.
He died Friday, December 10, 2010 at Baxter Regional Medical Center, at the age of 85. James was born December 30, 1924 in Hiddenite, North Carolina, the son of David and Emma Rufty Adams. He married Helen Bennett on December 31, 1945 at Cicero, Illinois and worked as an auto and diesel mechanic. James was a U.S. Navy veteran of of WWII and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. James lived in Midway, Arkansas since moving from Riverside, Illinois in 1991 and attended St. Peter's Catholic Church.
James is survived by his wife Helen of Midway, one son, Jim Adams of Burr Ridge, Illinois, 3 daughters, Cheryl (H. Robert) Breese of St. Petersburg, Florida, Lynn Adams of Mesa, Arizona and Diane Adams of Palos Park, Illinois, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren, one brother, Bob (Jeanne) Adams of Bull Shoals, Arkansas and one sister, Sarah Smith of Granger, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother William.
Memorials may be made to the Baxter Regional Medical Center Auxiliary.
