James H. Cooper, 74, of Mountain Home died December 23, 2012 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. Mr. Cooper was born in St. Louis on July 15, 1938, the son of James and Sherrill (Burton) Cooper. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol in 1988 and second wife, Janis in 2012. He is survived by three step-daughters, Pam Farrar of West Virginia, Peggie (Earl) Otto of St. Louis, MO., and Terri (Mark) Thome of Hillsboro, MO., sister-in-law Melissa Debacker of California, brother-in-law Robert Grisco of Mountain Home, AR and mother and father-in-law Joe and Betty Grisco of Mountain Home, AR. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Mr. Cooper served in the US Navy from 1958-1961 as a sonar man on the ship, U.S.S. Robert A. Owens. Graveside services with full military honors will be Thursday, December. 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
