James Royce Ernst

James Royce Ernst passed away March 7, 2018, in Gamaliel, Arkansas at the age of 82. He was born April 13, 1935, in Wichita Falls, Texas, the son of Albert Paul Robert and Verba Fogle Ernst. James was a member of the Air National Guard from ages 14 to 16. He met Janet on a blind date on the White River on February 10, 1973. On March 30, 1975, he married Janet Etteldorf at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Mountain Home. He lived in Gamaliel since 2004, moving from Texas.

James is survived by his wife, Janet Ernst of Gamaliel, AR; son, Steven Ernst of Arlington, TX; sister, Kay Lynn (Gary) Musick of Dallas, TX; brother, Joe Dean (Gloria) Ernst of Gunter, TX; sister-in-law, Alice Ernst of Grand Prairie, TX; granddaughter, Toni (Kevin) Westover of Newburn, NC, two grandsons, two great-granddaughters; two great grandsons and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three children, Tony, James "Randy" and Pamela Kay; and one brother, Paul Wayne.
