In loving memory, James "Jim" Franklin Wilson, 90, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on December 15, 2023. Born on March 24, 1933, in Cushing, Oklahoma, to Frank and Daphne Dill Wilson, he married Betty Plumlee on May 24, 1955, in Gainsville, TX. They had two children, Gayla and Michael. Jim, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for Tinker Air Force Base. After retirement he and Betty were active volunteers in the MAPS RV program with the Assemblies of God. Jim and Betty moved from Oklahoma City to Mountain Home, AR in 2007 to be closer to family and began attending Twin Lakes Baptist Church. Jim's cherished pursuits included RV camping, bird hunting, golf, and most joyously, pulling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren around in boxes.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Betty Wilson; daughter, Gayla (Hank Harrington) Casebolt; grandchildren, Brandon (Christi) Shipman, Kari Shipman, and Josh Harrington; great-grandchildren, Madison Shipman, Colton (Alexis) Shipman, Aspen Lance, and Mason Luka; and great-great-grandchildren, Conley Shipman, Harper Shipman, and Kasen Pruitt.

Jim's legacy will be remembered during visitation on Friday, December 22, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. The Funeral Service, officiated by Ryan Goeden, will follow at 2:00 pm, with burial at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers include Brandon Shipman, Colton Shipman, Hank Harrington, Josh Harrington, Mason Luka and Cecil Floyd, with Military Honors by Alley-White American Legion Post #52 and the United States Army Honor Guards.
