A Memorial service for James L. Kahm of Bull Shoals, AR will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Bull Shoals Presbyterian Church with Reverend Terry Hart officiating.
Mr. Kahm died Friday, January 8, 2010 at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. He was 82. James Kahm was born November 30, 1927 at Bee, Nebraska, son of William and Cyrilla Noxon Kahm. He married Joanne Braswell on August 5, 1965, at Chapel of the Flowers in West Covina, CA. He worked as a bakery engineer.
James served his country as a WWII Veteran of the United States Army and an Army Reservist. He lived in Chicago, IL before moving to Bull Shoals in 1985. James was an avid bowler and fishing was his passion. He shared his love of life and sense of humor with his family and friends. James gave his children the gift of knowing how to have fun in life. He was a Little League Coach for 14 years.
James Kahm is survived by his wife, Joanne Kahm of Bull Shoals, AR, 4 sons; James William Kahm, of Millbrae, CA, Philip Arthur (Isabelle) Stables, of Redondo Beach, CA, Steven Martin Stables, of San Dimas, CA, Gary Merideth (Candy) Stables, of Baldwinsville, NY, 2 daughters; Cheryl Kay (Dennis) Williams, of Fort Wayne, IN, Linda Ann (Steve) Curry, of Baldwinsville, NY, sister, Eileen Porter, of Lehi, UT, 11 Grandchildren, and 6 Great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, and 3 sisters.
