Services for James O. Moore, 86, of Cotter, Arkansas, will be private.
James passed away April 15, 2015, in Flippin. He was born August 11, 1928, in Watsontown, Pennsylvania, the son of Lewis and Edith Fausey Moore. He married Hazel Long on June 9, 1983, at Mountain Home, Arkansas. James was a U.S. Merchant Marines veteran of World War II and lived in Cotter since 1979, moving from California. He enjoyed fly fishing, being on the river and computers.
James is survived by his wife, Hazel Long of Mountain Home, AR; two sons, John and Jerry Moore both of Dallas, TX and one brother, Charles Moore of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gene Moore.
Memorials may be made to Food Bank of North Central Arkansas or First United Methodist Church.
